Welcome to Unique Seafood; as they join FASFA in 2024.

We are delighted to announce that Unique Seafood has re-joined FASFA, having not been a member since 2020. The main office is based in Orpington and is led by Harald Nissan and Martin Brown.

Executive Director, Julie Waites commented ‘ I am pleased to once again be working with Unique Seafood, who have strong Norwegian links, in particular with the Granit and Brodrene Sperre. It will be great to work with Harald and Martin, and to represent them as a FASFA member at the various forums and working groups I attend to support FASFA members, as well as the marketing and promotional work we do.’

Their flagship Granit vessel, launched in 2018 has state-of-the-art onboard technologies and processes and freezes vast volumes of fish at sea rapidly, hygienically and consistently. At 81.2 metres long and 16.6 metres wide and gross tonnage of 4427. Granit’s cargo hold can accommodate 775 tonnes of fillets and 61,000 litres of fish oil.

Consistent high-quality and sustainable North Atlantic Cod, Haddock, Coley/Saithe and other species are the cornerstone of Unique Atlantic Seafood service. In addition to species for the traditional British and European palate, they supply seafood for international cuisine to supermarkets, food service companies, food producers and seafood distributors. Their Catch brand brings a range of formats and species from across the globe.

All of our FASFA members are passionate about the quality of its seafood: being in full control of the value chain starting with the vessels, processing to specification and supply, and delivering excellent value and full traceability to end customers. We welcome Unique Seafood to FASFA, which will help reinforce these messages and strengthen the work that we do.
